Gloria Sarkodie Addo is a clinical nurse specialist in community mental health and rehabilitation and licensed counselling psychologist with over 19 years of dedicated service in community mental health and rehabilitation in Ghana. Her grassroots work spans rural and urban communities, where she has championed accessible mental health education, screening, and therapy. As the founder of Soft Life Ghana, an NGO committed to improving the mental wellbeing of children and families affected by mental illness, Gloria leads targeted interventions that prioritize empathy, resilience, and recovery in underserved populations.

Her clinical expertise is backed by a strong academic foundation and a commitment to holistic care. She has spearheaded several mental health outreach programs, especially for women and children, and advocates for early screening and stigma reduction. Gloria’s outstanding contributions have earned her multiple awards, including the MTN Heroes of Change (Health Category), the Oxygen Health Africa Award, and the prestigious DAISY International Award for Extraordinary Nurses.

Driven by her Christian faith and a deep sense of purpose, Gloria continues to shape Ghana’s mental health landscape through policy advocacy, professional mentorship, and compassionate care, ensuring that no one is left behind in the journey toward mental wellness.
